Shopping in Bath is impressive, in this old Spa Town there are a selection of small independent shops and stylish boutiques, all alongside the more well-known shops. There are 6 shopping areas in the city. The central area where high street favourites are including Next, Marks and Spencer and WH Smiths, the Upper Town is filled with a mix of irresistible boutiques, galleries and antique shops surrounded by beautiful Georgian architecture, The Artisan Quarter is where the the flea market is held every Saturday. The Milsom Quarter is home to designer pieces and also Karen Millen, White Stuff, LK Bennet and Jigsaw. The Milsom Quarter also has a number of shopping centres and department stores such as the Podium, Milsom Place, Jolly's - Bath's House of Fraser store - and Rossiters of Bath - known with affection as 'the Liberty's of the West'. SouthGate Bath is a modern shopping centre and has over 55 stores, Debenhams, Karen Millen, Accessories, Kurt Geiger and La Senza. The Western Area has a superb blend of independent shops. As you walk through the city centre from area to area you will pass though grand Georgian streets and small picturesque passageways.
